We accept secure online credit card payment by Visa or Mastercard. Direct Payment Solutions provide our PCI DSS compliant Visa and MasterCard certified payments solution called Payment Express. Payment Express facilitates electronic payments safely and seamlessly. DPS are certified with banks in Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Singapore, South Africa, USA and United Kingdom. Flexible Terms
Should you wish to purchase our products using a payment method other than credit card, we are able to offer the following payment options:

Direct Credit
Payment via direct credit (Telephone Banking, Internet Banking or Bank Deposit) into our bank account (Designscape Concepts Limited T/A Thomas On Line) is always welcome, however you will need to ensure that you use your online Order ID (generated after checkout) as a deposit reference so we know who the payment is from and what it is for. We will reserve stock for your order for 48 hours, and will pack and despatch your order once payment is received into our account.

Paypal ( non credit card funded paypal only - if you wish to purchase from us using your credit card, please choose our secure credit card payment option )
The Paypal payment service is available to many countries in the world, including New Zealand. If you choose this payment method you will recieve a confirmation email after checkout, containing the registered Paypal email address to use for making payment. If you are purchasing goods to be shipped to outside New Zealand, please wait for us to send you a quote and / or a Paypal invoice. You will need to ensure that you use your online order ID (generated after checkout) as a deposit reference so we know who the payment is from and what it is for.

Cheque
We can accept cheques by prior arrangement only and special conditions may apply.

Gift Vouchers
Gift Vouchers purchased through the Thomas On Line website are redeemable against goods and shipping costs. If the value of your purchases are the same or less than the value of the vouchers being redeemed, simply choose the Cheque / Voucher payment option and post your vouchers to the address provided. If the value of your purchases exceeds the value of the vouchers being redeemed, you may either pay for the goods in full using your credit card then have the value of the vouchers refunded when they are received by us, or you may pay the difference by Direct Credit or Cheque.

Free Gift Vouchers and $1 Reward Gift Vouchers
Vouchers which are given away free of charge as part of a Thomas On Line giveaway or prize promotion or purchased as a customer reward for $1 cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer including but not limited to $1 Rewards or Free Shipping offers. These vouchers can only be used as payment for future transactions and are valid for 2 months from the date they are purchased.

Layby
Layby can be very a convenient 'peace of mind' alternative to paying all at once.
Our layby terms are as follows:

• By prior arrangement only
• Minimum value $50 (can be for more than one item)
• Minimum 20% first payment / deposit
• Regular scheduled payments by automatic payment (weekly, fortnightly or monthly)
• Must be fully paid within 3 months and prior to 20th March each financial year
• A $25 cancellation fee applies to cancelled laybys for administration and storage costs.
• Laybys are not available on sale items or $1 Deals.

Free Shipping Promotions
For limited periods, we sometimes offer free shipping. When a free shipping promotion is active, for you order to qualify it must total $100 or more, it must be shipped to a New Zealand address and you must enter any applicable promotion codes in the available field when you reach checkout. $1 rewards cannot be used in conjuction with our free shipping offers - it has to be one or the other, as per what it says on the $1 rewards page.

$1 Shipping Deals
In order to maintain the low pricing we are known for, we do not build the cost of shipping into our prices. We have some excellent $1 shipping rewards among our $1 Reward categories. For example customers in the upper North Island need only spend $100 to qualify for $1 delivery. For our regular shipping & handling tariffs please refer to the Pricing Guide further down this page.

Please be advised that orders are placed in a priority queue and are processed in the order in which they are received. If your order is required urgently for a birthday or special occasion please note this in the additional instructions field on checkout and we will advise if this can be arranged. Stock availability is updated manually on our site at the first opportunity after the item becomes sold out. In most cases items can be restocked within two working days. In the event that we cannot restock an item we will contact you without delay to discuss an options.

Gift Wrap with Greeting Card
We are pleased to offer a gift wrapping service, and can send directly to the gift recipient. This is a great idea if you have left getting a gift to the last minute, or if you are overseas and want to buy for a friend or relative here in New Zealand, but want to save on shipping charges. We ship to most countries in the world that are on a normal postal or courier delivery route.

We can include a free card handwritten with your message (or you can purchase a card of your choice for us to complete on your behalf). Simply add the gift wrap option of your choice from our Specials Category to your shopping cart, and type your message in the 'Special Delivery Instructions' field at checkout (or email it to us quoting your order number).

Purchasing a gift for a serious Thomas fan? We can offer special Thomas the Tank Engine licensed gift wrapping and include a Thomas On Line gift card handwritten with your message (or you can purchase a card of your choice for us to complete on your behalf). Simply add the Thomas Licensed Gift Wrapping item to your shopping cart, and type your message in the 'Special Delivery Instructions' field at checkout (or email it to us quoting your order number). If you purchase more than one item for the same gift recipient, we will package together as one gift wrapped parcel. If however, you require more than one Thomas gift wrapped parcel simply purchase more gift wrap services.

There are a very few oversized items which cannot be gift wrapped, including for example, play tables, large furniture items and anything marked as 'Oversize Item' in the item description.

Where is it going to?
Within New Zealand your purchases will be shipped either by courier or NZ Post depending on your location and the weight/dimensions of the packages. We will always endeavour to find the best solution among the available shipping options, both in terms of keeping your costs down and providing a quality service. If no-one will be available to sign for the package at the given delivery address please note this in the special instructions field so we know to use NZ Post or a non signature required service. It is also important that RD is specified where the delivery address is on rural delivery. Failure to note this may result in unnecessary delays if we choose an inappropriate delivery method, and parcels may even be returned to us if sent by courier with no rural delivery ticket attached. If you are sending a gift to another address, please be sure to advise the recipient to expect it so that if it does not arrive in a timely manner we are able to follow up on this. Couriers offer a limited window of opportunity for claims to be made and so it is important that we are notified within 14 days of the date of ordering if goods have not arrived. If despatch of your order is delayed for any reason you will be notified.

Pricing Guide
Where delivery is to within the North Island of New Zealand: *NZ$7.95 per order
Where delivery is to within the South Island of New Zealand: *NZ$13.50 per order ($16.50 if South Island Rural Delivery)

*excludes oversize items and orders where urgent / overnight shipping is specifically requested.

Please note that a packaging and handling fee may apply to cover costs, particularly for international orders which are more time consuming and costly to process. If any such fees do apply, we will always seek your approval before proceeding.

Shipping To Another Country
If you require us to ship your order to an address outside New Zealand, we will email you a quotation for shipping costs after you have successfully placed your order. When you have finished adding items to your cart, press the [Proceed to next step] button at bottom right. You will then enter your delivery address details, then you'll be transfered to the DPS Payment Express gateway to securely enter your credit card details. Your credit card purchase will be pre-authorised (but not billed) for the purchase amount excluding shipping. One of our staff will then email you a shipping quotation. If you indicate your approval of our quotation, your card will then be billed for the total including shipping. If for any reason you are not comfortable with our quotation, your order will be cancelled and you will not be billed at all. This process can all happen quite rapidly and it really helps if the information you provide is clear and accurate. Please note that $1 Rewards and free shipping promotions are only available for orders being shipped to New Zealand addresses.
